Six everyday tasks where AI help pays off most

Start with tasks that repeat often and are easy to check — time back right away, no customer data shared

AI helps most with work that repeats often and that a person can check quickly. Those tasks give time back with little risk.

Six tasks to start today

  1. Draft replies to frequent customer questions, then keep them as saved replies
  2. Write several versions of product descriptions, then pick and edit
  3. Summarise long documents such as platform terms or announcements, then ask follow-up questions about the relevant parts
  4. Help build spreadsheet formulas — describe your data and the result you want, then test the formula on real numbers
  5. Outline content — topics, order, photo ideas; write the real experience yourself
  6. Translate and polish messages to foreign customers, then read them through before sending

What AI shouldn't do for you yet

  • Tax figures, legal points and prices you are accountable for — use it to draft, but check against real sources
  • Anything that requires sending customers' personal data — always remove names, numbers and addresses first

Make it reusable

  • Keep prompts that work in one note, with an example of a good result
  • State the output format every time, e.g. "answer as a 3-column table", "no more than 3 lines"

Measure in time: note how many minutes a task used to take and how many it takes with AI, including checking. If it doesn't really drop, don't force it

Key points

  • Pick tasks that repeat often and are quick to check
  • Remove personal data before sending anything to AI
  • Save prompts that work and measure the time really saved
